The Office of Special Investigations (OSI) is seeking qualified candidates for consideration to serve as a Senior Investigator (SI) in the Fugitive Investigations Division's (FID). FID specializes in fugitive apprehensions of releasees, incarcerated individuals, and often assisting partnering outside law enforcement agencies. The SI is the sixth-level leadership and supervisory level role (under the chief, assistant chief, director, deputy chief investigator, and assistant deputy chief investigator) responsible for overseeing activities within FID Unit. The SI will report directly to an Assistant Deputy Chief Investigator in FID. A SI is required to manage a caseload; supervise Investigators; lead small groups on assignments; and assist with the development of strategies, operations, and tactics. This SI will be responsible for field supervision of fugitive teams and fugitive operations, conducting routine investigations and evaluating investigators.

Salary Range:
From $75538 to $93206 Annually
Minimum Qualification
The qualifications include at least four years investigative experience and at least four years' experience as a fugitive investigator. Candidates should also have exhibited demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory potential. This position will require a high degree of organizational and writing skills, and building-entry tactics, as well as must be available to respond immediately to incidents and possibly remain in the area as needed. OSI investigative staff must possess, at a minimum, knowledge of the applicable laws, the highest levels of behavior including personal integrity and ethics; fairness; character; judgment; attitude; and respect for and ability to work with others inside and outside OSI. Appropriate licensure and certifications (including being or becoming a peace officer qualified to carry a firearm) are also required. The ability to travel is also necessary. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
