As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP), you assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their community and residential homes.
You provide direct supervision in many areas, such as housekeeping, meal preparation, attending appointments, and attending social activities.
Depending on the needs of the resident, you may also administer medications, implement a behavioral management plan, and maintain medical records.
Using effective teaching and mentoring techniques, you provide support for our clients with their day-to-day schedules.
You are always careful to model appropriate social skills and behaviors.
