Number of Schools/Ages: 9 schools, serving students from K-12
Caseload/Job Details: The Behavior Specialist will collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to provide consultation and professional development aimed at supporting students' social, academic, and behavioral growth. Responsibilities include:
Providing consultation and support to teachers and paraprofessionals
Chairing CSE (Committee on Special Education) meetings as assigned
Collaborating on out-of-district placements
Reporting to the Director of Special Education
Types of Disabilities: Mild to Severe
Client Non-negotiables: Valid licensure in New York as a School Psychologist or Behavior Specialist. A special education license is acceptable, but candidates must also hold a BCBA license to supplement.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to develop and implement behavior intervention plans
Provide consultation and professional development to support the implementation of evidence-based practices

Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans
Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform decision-making
Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
Qualifications:
Valid licensure in New York as a School Psychologist or Behavior Specialist
BCBA certification required
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with mild to severe disabilities
Strong leadership and collaboration skills
Ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with stakeholders
