Mechanical Engineer
Sr Mechanical Engineer OMEGA and OMEGA EP laser systems.
These laser systems often demand designs that are high-precision, high-stability, and function in a class 100 cleanroom at either air or vacuum.
Design areas include laser system components (mechanical, opto-mechanical, and electro-mechanical), in-house diagnostic (instrument) design, vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, and more.
A minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
The candidate must be able to function in a team environment as well as work independently.
The ability to handle multiple projects is required.
Required Experience for this position:
Machine or instrument design, 3-D modeling proficiency, proficiency in the detailing of drawings, use of GD&T per ASME Y14.
5M-2009, the ability to perform design review presentations, design basis and requirements documentation.
Desired Experience for this position:
3-D modeling proficiency with Siemens NX 7.
5 or newer, knowledge of Teamcenter 8 or higher; Project leadership; exact constraint and kinematic design; Ansys FEA; vacuum systems.
