Behavior Intervention Specialist FT

Responsible for assisting in the coordination of behavioral services for people supported as identified through close work with the persona and their support teamEvaluates specific challenge areas and offers recommendations and positive approaches through written documents and direct interactions, to assist with behavior modification and development of new skills that will enhance the person's quality of lifeProvides direct supervision and consultation on the implementation of Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans and Behavior GuidelinesSupports across programs as assigned.Minimum Education/Experience Master's Degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, NYS license in Mental Health Counseling or National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA). 2-3 years working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred Training and experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development preferred.Licensure/Certification Valid NYS License and access to timely and reliable transportation to transport self to multiple sites. Ability to become SCIP-R Certified and able to perform all aspects of SCIP-R. Must obtain and maintain certification as a SCIP-R instructor, providing training agency-wide as assigned. Must have access to timely and reliable transportation to transport self to multiple sites.
