ER Associates is recruiting for an Accounting Manager with a CPA for a rapidly growing publicly traded company. This is a direct hire, full time position with a premier company in its industry. The ideal candidate will act as a functional manager who has excellent communication skills, a collaborative management philosophy and enjoys working in an exciting easy going environment.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Accounting Managers will work to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all transactions in the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and is responsible to complete complex accounting activities including: reporting, reconciliation and analysis, as well as planning and forecasting activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsibilities:
Close Procedures and General Ledger Management
Responsible for the oversight of general ledger transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls, and the accuracy of resultant financial statements
Complete monthly accounting close process by performing various responsibilities, including analysis of adjustments to various accounts, reviewing journal entries, and performing additional analysis and review as needed to support the close
Review monthly account reconciliations, providing oversight and/or guidance as applicable
Facilitate the preparation and/or review of monthly consolidation and elimination entries
Oversee financial consolidation procedures, including review of preliminary operating company financial statements
Provide review and/or oversight of top-side journal entries as applicable
Review operating company financial statement variation analysis
Oversee the preparation and review of monthly U.S. GAAP financial statements including, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement, for U.S. and Canada operations
Review and provide guidance around the preparation of balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
Oversee the preparation and review of management reporting
Reporting and Analysis
Review and approve additional period end analysis as required in collaboration with Finance Solutions and Accounting Solutions
Responsible for the maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Review external reporting templates and/or consolidated footnote disclosure reporting packages
Metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Responsible to ensure compliance with Accounting SLAs, resolving issues as needed
Support the documentation, reporting and achievement of monthly accounting metrics as defined by the finance shared services dashboard
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
CPA certification required

years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience with progressive management experience in the accounting function
Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software; experience with JD Edwards general ledger system a plus; experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management system a plus
Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written)
Bilingual ? Spanish a plus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
