SFL rolled out its NFL and NBA leagues and will continually expand and develop its site and mobile apps while utilizing marketing strategies focused on affiliate and referral programs to maximize traffic to and conversion on the site. WHAT YOULL DO
We have an immediate opening in Rochester, NY for a full-time programmer to help build out the next generation of the SFL site. This is a development role that combines web development and strategic planning for a very sophisticated fantasy sports site utilizing multiple real-time data feeds over multiple game types and timelines. Some specific responsibilities include:
Apply programming / development skills for rapid prototyping and feasibility discovery of new solutions and technologies for the SFL site
Partner with owners and outside consultants to develop efficient tools to support our site including mobile apps and a mobile site
Work cross-functionally to drive new initiatives
Develop deep technical proficiency with the Facebook Platform, affiliate networks and thought leadership in the Social Technology/Fantasy Gaming industry
Think quickly under pressure, as well as motivate and engage the team to produce the best possible results

WHAT YOU NEED
The Fantasy Sports Engineer will be a technically proficient engineering/programming professional with solid technology and organizational skills.
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience, Masters is a plus
Solid software development skills with experience building software developed in (at least 2-3)
o C# / ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms C#
o Python, PHP, C/C++, ASP.NET, Ruby, or Java a plus
Deep understanding of the Web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS) JQuery, JSON
Experience with WCF REST/SOAP Web Services C#, Visual Studio, and IIS 6/7
Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to a technical and business audiences / internal and external clients
Entrepreneurial personality who can inspire co-workers and set and communicate goals
Passionate about technology and interested in new technology
The current SFL site is developed using Microsofts .NET development tools. Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:
Test Automation
Telerik ASP.NET AJAX/MVC, KendoUI, JQueryUI
SQL Server, Entity Framework, LINQ
