CNC Programmer
Arnprior Rapid Manufacturing in Greece, NY has obtained multiple long-term contracts with customers that will require ongoing CNC manufacturing commitments. In preparation, we are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer who is accustomed to working independently and being accountable for quality and throughput of the CNC manufacturing department. The chosen candidate will be expected to: Program CNC Mills, create code utilizing software from solid models; identify the required high performance tooling necessary to optimize cycle times to reduce cost and create efficiency; communicate effectively and support manufacturing personnel with first run programs; develop, edit or create posts, as required; and oversee the DNC system application. Knowledge of CNC Lathe programming is a plus.
Skills/Education Requirements:
Proven experience with CNC / CAD / CAM Programming from customer-supplied drawings and models.
Demonstrated programming experience of CNC 4th axis vertical mills, and 5th axis horizontal mills, in a high tolerance environment.
Working knowledge of high performance tooling and fixturing requirements.
Ability to optimize programs for cost reduction
In-depth knowledge of GD&T.
Familiar with CNC control communication to DNC application.
Experience working directly with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance Departments to determine best method of producing quality products to achieve on-time delivery requirements.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 preferred.
