Machine Maintenance Mechanic
Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Machine Maintenance candidate who will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance mechanic will be responsible for the following:
Tasks:
o Follow all company safety procedures during machine up/or down time.
o Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
o Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
o Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
o Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
o Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
o Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
o Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
o Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
o Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations.
o Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
o Must be able to show up to work on time.
Knowledge:
o Mechanical -- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
o Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
o Design -- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
o Engineering and Technology -- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
o English Language -- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
o Building and Construction -- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
Skills:
o Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
o Operation Monitoring -- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
o Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
o Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
o Operation and Control -- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.

o High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
o Prefer, but not required previous experience in paper industry or other manufacturing field.
o External maintenance certifications a plus.

o Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats
o Potential exposure to dust, sounds/noise levels
o Frequent walking
o Occasional sitting
o Frequent standing
o Frequent bending, pushing, pulling
o Frequent face-to-face discussions
o Indoors, not environmentally controlled work setting
Will be working B or C Shift. Pay is $24-25 per hour. Will be subject to a 4 hour assessment to be considered for the position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
