Diamond Turning Technician DIRECT HIRE

We are in search of a Diamond Turning or Toolmaker Technician or a Mold / Model Maker for a great company in Rochester
Diamond Turning Technician or Toolmaker will be responsible for the operation, set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting and programming of custom diamond machining equipment.
Our desire is to find someone with familiarity with all aspects of diamond turning and our client is willing to train any Toolmaker Mold Model Makers with experience.
Machining will including turning, fly cutting and desire the
ability to set up and use both contact and non-contact optical metrology equipment.

Diamond Turning Technician or Toolmaker Mold or Model Maker responsibilities will include:
Fabricate custom optical master molds and models.
Operate vertical lathe turning, lathe turning and fine gratings.
Operation of tool room equipment including manual lathe, mills, grinders, drill press and CNC vertical mill.

To be considered for this position:
Diamond Turning Technician or Toolmaker Mold or Model Maker
Must possess a high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to work processes.
Must have a strong knowledge of math and geometry.
Must be computer literate and proficient with Word and Excel.
Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints.
Must have prior Diamond machining, Mold or Model making experience.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and
Experience:
5 years of any of these:
Diamond Turning, Toolmaking, Moldmaking, Modelmaking experience is acceptable.
Journeyman papers are desirable, but not required.
Experience with Diamond lapping is a plus.

Pay is $24-$29.00
hr based on experience with excellent benefits.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
