General
Job Description:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of policies and programs such as recruitment, training, employee relations, and benefits. The Human Resources Manager works closely with the Executive Team and managers to create a positive and well functioning work environment. Advises and counsels Senior Management on the development of policy and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as staffing, compensation, employee relations, benefits, labor relations, safety, OSHA, benefits, HRIS, training and employee services. Writes directives advising department manager of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits. Consults legal counsel to ensure the policies comply with federal and state law.

Qualifications:

Proven record of strong leadership and motivational skills coupled with sound decision making capabilities
Ability to resolve problems using logical, systematic and sequential approaches
Ability to delegate responsibility and to work with others while coaching and developing their capabilities
Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental requirements in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations
Good computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong knowledge of best practices, methods and techniques pertaining to building, facilities and equipment maintenance and repair
Three to five years of human resources experience
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or other related field required
Supervisory Specific Duties:
1) Promote a clean and safe working environment which complies with all company standards, OSHA regulations, ISO:14001 standards, and all other federal, state and local laws and regulations
2) Train employees on company policies. Ensure, create and maintain an environment where compliance to all processes and procedures is a minimum job requirement
3) Train, coach and mentor the workforce. Complete employee performance reviews in a timely manner in an effort to further develop employees and monitor performance. Keep management team informed of any and all training needs and/or desires.
4) Promote a teamwork environment by conducting periodic meetings with all departmental employees
5) Monitor supplies for all department specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work with the Safety Manager and purchasing to order and replenish inventory levels
6) Establish initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, cost, delivery, good housekeeping and employee relations
Departmental Specific Duties:
1) Assists in the general oversight, management, and development of business practices
2) Directs and participates in employee relations functions, such as dispute resolution, discipline, communications, reward practices, training and career development while ensuring a positive morale and union-free environment. Leads the organization in the definition of policies and practices that affect associate work and work relationships
3) Directs and participates in the recruiting for and selection of candidates to fill vacant employment opportunities. Ensures the quality of personnel hired, the effectiveness of recruiting and selection techniques, and compliance with legislated requirements
4) Directs the design and implementation of human resource development programs, ensuring that skills and competencies of associates meet requirements for current operation and future goals
5) Directs the overall development and management of pay programs. Conducts wage surveys within relevant labor markets to determine competitive wage rates and design, implementation, and administration of base and variable pay programs in conformance with company pay philosophy and practice. Ensures compliance of pay programs with legislated requirements, such as wage and hour law, equal pay legislation, etc.
6) Represents the company and its interests at various professional, industry, and community associations to further the companys name in the community or its positive relationship within the industry
7) Work with managers and employees to identify, assess, and implement training needs specific to their department
8) Conduct HR and safety related training with all departments
9) Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization
10) Maintains Employee Handbook, Safety Manual with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed. Administers and communicates all changes/updates to all employees
11) Ensures that all organizational practices comply with all relevant OSHA, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
12) Oversees and ensures all payroll functions are completed accurately and timely

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
