General
Job Description:
Is responsible for the administration and coordination of the production planning and control of the manufacturing operations. Responsible for scheduling of all manufacturing orders from preliminary (for sales quotation) to final assembly before shipment. Works with product orders, experimental or prototype orders, job work and repair orders, and stock and parts orders requiring manufacturing operations. Coordinates through first line supervisor dispatching and expediting throughout the plant, scheduling function, inventory control, manufacturing process specification and material handling. Accumulates analyzes and acts on operation workload, manpower requirements and various other data from Sales and Engineering. Directs the training of employees assisting in this work. Requires knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Five
years planning experience, preferably in a sheet metal environment
Computer literacy and familiarity with Database, spreadsheet and word processor programs
Excellent communications skills
Know how to read blue prints
Specific Duties:
1. Provides support to Production Supervisor by assuring material availability of jobs.
2. Determines priorities for work centers utilizing shop load report.
3. Develops computerized documents presenting shop load, etc.
4. Answers customer service expedites within three (3) hours.
5. Oversees inventories as required.
6. Ability to read blue prints.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
