Nurse 2 Psychiatric or Nurse 1 (John L. Norris Addiction Treatment Center)
o Administer nursing and direct care including completion of nursing and admission assessments; o Transcribe and execute prescriber/medical orders & administer medications and treatments; o Monitor the environment for patient health, safety and security; o Involvement in facility performance assessment and improvement activities; o Function as shift charge; Perform other nursing duties as assigned; o Proficient use of a computer is required for record keeping and documentation; o Collect specimens; Perform venipunctures; o Maintain nursing/facility supplies and equipment; o Provide crisis intervention as needed; o Transport patients as assigned using NYS vehicle; o May direct other staff, trainees, in assignments; o Completion of other tasks to meet ATC needs. o Incumbent will be required to work overtime shifts periodically as needed. Salary Range:
From $56030 to $75132 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Nurse 2 Psychiatric - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. One year of post-licensure registered clinical experience including six months post-licensure specialized nursing experience with individuals, at least 50% of whom have been diagnosed with mental illness, alcoholism, or chemical dependency OR eighteen months of post-licensure registered nurse general clinical experience. Nurse 1 - A registered nurse in NYS with current registration to practice. Candidate must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare program. Failure to maintain licensure, certification and Medicaid/Medicare eligibility will result in the termination of employment.
