The Finger Lakes Healthcare System is seeking an experienced, full time non-invasive Cardiologist (M.D. or D.O) who is Board Certified or Eligible. Duties include oversight of all aspects of cardiac care delivered to referred patients and participating in daily ambulatory/outpatient Cardiology clinic services primarily at our Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic, and possibly the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The Cardiologist will consult and manage and provide education and counseling of Veterans in preventative care and apply evidence-based care for an array of cardiac conditions, while also supervising comprehensive outpatient cardiac procedures. The Rochester Clinic has the capacity to perform a wide variety of outpatient Cardiology services including EKG and Arrhythmia monitoring interpretation, echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, Transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions. The Cardiologist will establish a professional relationship with clinical service providers within the outpatient center, provide telephone and curbside consultations and screen consultative and procedural requests for appropriateness. The ability to provide telecardiology services to other Finger Lakes Healthcare System locations is a plus. Academic appointment and training program participation is also available through the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, cardiology fellowship approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
