WHAT DOES A TECHNICAL ADVISOR DO? A Technical Advisor (TA) is an expert advisor and assists Executives in Collection. They are responsible for high level, cross-functional programs/projects, often of a confidential nature, and delegated by the Executive. The TA supports the Executive on highly complex, crosscutting, and technical issues including planning, coordinating and implementing technical and resource management projects/programs and communicating (orally and in writing) in Collection. As a Technical Advisor you will:
Independently or as a leader of a group, undertakes special projects on taxpayer compliance, taxpayer burden, efficient allocation of resources, enforcement revenues or other topics assigned. Plans and/or accomplishes special projects. Represent the executive in contacts with high level IRS officials, representatives of other agencies and non-government organizations. Assist the executive in creating and establishing enterprise research strategy and goals that enhance compliance Assist in the allocation of resources and the establishment of performance measures and goals for the respective Collection Functional Unit. Provide oversight to ensure goals, strategy, and policies are clearly communicated to employees to achieve the desired results. Analyze proposals referred by the Collection Functional Areas, or those directed to the executive, for review, approval, or decision. Develop, establish/maintain processes for review of work products/projects to assure technical/administrative completeness and accuracy. Conduct final review of policy/precedent setting information prior to dissemination. Evaluate information relating to policy setting recognizing the need for consistent/accurate application of technical and/or procedural guidance and establishment of clear precedents. BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
GS-15 LEVEL:
You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
serving in a leadership capacity on major programs, leading organization wide projects and/or initiatives, making critical decisions that impact an organization or division (i.e., Collection), and experience supporting and representing top executive leadership. Experience with quantitative and qualitative techniques to lead analyses of interdisciplinary issues pertaining to general (strategic) management, public policy or public administration and to provide top management with analysis of major issues of strategic importance, to develop new approaches and to prepare policy options, workplanning, and action plans; and seasoned oral and written skills sufficient to develop, persuade and negotiate a wide range of technical and implementation issues.- The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis.- To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week, on your resume.In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following, if applicable:
You must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks (time-in-grade requirement).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
