Job Description Position
Summary:
The Workforce Planning Analyst is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and configuration of Ceridian's Dayforce application.
This role ensures the application is functioning as designed based upon Monro's human capital decisions for labor and scheduling.
The analyst works with senior level team members and business units to support workforce analytics and planning objectives.
Essential Functions:
Perform requirements analysis by interacting with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs.
Provides the critical linkage between the end users and the BPO for the scheduling project.
Gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements.
Effectively communicates insights and plans to cross functional team members and management.
Update, implement and maintain procedures during and after software implementation.
Responsible for maintaining the software and assisting with changes in design and modifications.
Assists with implementation of upgrades to the software, including testing and training, etc.
Monitors workforce activities and support center performance and identifies actions to assure service level goals are met.
Works with users and Ceridian when problems or questions arise.
Monitors all scheduled background jobs and sFTP data integrations.
Reviews data integrity and reports issues to the appropriate functional area for corrective actions in the source of record system.
Analyze data and make recommendations for improvingoperational efficiencies.
Completes performance analysis of hourly, daily and weekly results as it relates to scheduling.
Works with the Director of Store Operations to enforce operating adherence to work schedules.
Generates and delivers adherence/compliance reports to the management team.
Compares forecasts with actual results to examine variances, proactively identify scheduling gaps and offer solutions to close them.
Provides performance analysis to ensure accurate, timely reporting to support business processes,decision-making.
Problem solve and preparation of analysis in varying formats (Excel, charts, web based).
Maintains and updates our workforce management systems with daily exceptions.
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of data by working schedule changes as well as other types of requests.
Captures and organizes sales trends (intraday, seasonal, peak periods).
Utilizes WFM tools to generate scheduling forecastsand validate forecasts prior to publishing.
Review Forecast vs.
Actual data to determine opportunities to re-forecast.
Develops strong working relationships with the operations team and others within the organization to ensure efficient and effective problem solving and issue resolution.
Manage and maintain the scheduling system, business rules, inputs, and outputs.
Knowledge and experience with workforce management/scheduling systems to properly manage and maintain staff schedules for over 1,300 locations.
Develop and produce schedules that maximize the operational performance for multi-channel operations.
Analyze, improve, and run staffing scenarios to recommend staffing and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage for service level goals.
Develop and utilize other analytical methods to coordinate with the scheduling system to improve accuracy of the forecast.
Manage weekly scheduling performance reports.
Recommend and implement schedule changes as needed.
Make real-time decisions on behalf of Senior Leaders to adjust staff schedules.
Own and maintain staffing and scheduling policies and procedures.
Lead weekly planning meetings with operations management providing recommendations on changes to forecasts/schedules to meet store service goals.
Produce reports from the scheduling system as requested by management.
Generating reports utilized in the decision-making process within the operating KPI's.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field preferred.
5 years successful experience in the retail multi-unit industry focused on optimizing scheduling of the workforce preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of forecasting and scheduling experienceExperience using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts for a large organization.
Experience in workforce planning design.
Ability to work with multiple data sources and combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses; creating effective presentations.
