Here is a nickel plated B knee-lever banjo mute complete with all parts. This mute was for use on 4 and 5 string banjos And is activated by pushing the lever on the outside of the banjo rim, which moves the device under the bridge to soften the tone and/or dampen the sound. They are great for practice and they are great for show. They would be good for any style banjo ,but were primarily used on Bacon and Day instruments from the 1920-30s. Note: these mutes have been reproduced in this may be a reproduction. However, the reproductions were so expensive to manufacture that they were more costly than originals! Either way, it will be perfect for your Bacon and Day banjo.PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY AT THE PHOTOS and ASK QUESTIONS. This is a true auction - bidding starts at $1.
