Vintage 1960s Zenon ES70 Guitar Japan Teisco gold foil pickups. For restoration for sale in Rochester, NY

1 of 1
For sale here we have a 1960s Japanese made electric guitar. The brand is Zenon and the model (to my knowledge based on photos) is ES70. I believe it's from 1965. This is being sold as a restoration candidate, not currently in playing condition. It is a two gold foil style pickup guitar, with two volume controls and a tone. Very cool looking pickguard too! Based on photos, it looks like the headstock may have been sanded to natural. Several screws are rusty or stuck, but if someone was willing to spend a little time with this guitar I'm sure it would be a great player, maybe a sleeper for slide as many of these style guitars seem to be. Some strings were on it when I received it and the action did not seem very high. There is a shim under the nut, a primitive adjustment from long ago. The bridge screws that adjust the height are very rusty and Will have to be replaced or repaired. It has only one strap button and is missing the other. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, and happy bidding!
